Find Amazon FBA Products FOR FREE using Egrow [FAST]
It sounds too good to be true, but trust me, you CAN find great niche Amazon FBA products for FREE.
How? The answer’s Egrow.
Today, I’m sharing with you my personal favourite Amazon FBA Seller Tool. It’s the one that I use to find all of my Amazon products.
I’ll start by introducing one of the main people behind the product. Recently, I had the pleasure of hosting Egrow co-founder, Anton Lang on the Easy Peasy Sourcing & Private Label Podcastand Easy Peasy Ecom.
During the interview, we discussed how Egrow was launched and Anton revealed his prized product research techniques. We also delved into how you can use Egrow to find your own Amazon Best Sellers and debunked the biggest Amazon FBA myth that’s stopping Private Label Businesses from starting.
If you haven’t heard of Egrow before, here’s why it matters to you.
What Is Egrow?
Egrow is an all-in-one software solution for Amazon FBA Sellers.
The package provides all the tools you need to analyze millions of Amazon marketplace products.
Egrow’s suitable for sellers everywhere, offering comprehensive product databases, keyword search tools, and live Amazon product tracking services.
It’s available in 11 regions, including the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom and Australia.
The platform makes finding the perfect product niches simple. Most importantly for Amazon FBA first timers, you can do it for FREE
But how did it start?
The Egrow Story
Anton Lang co-founded Egrow back in 2016 while studying in the United States.
Although Amazon launched the Fulfillment by Amazon service in 2006, it’s status as a global money making phenomenon is a recent development.
Today, the Amazon service has empowered small players like you and me to launch their own businesses, levelling the playing field when importing goods from China.
Back in 2016, Anton recognized a growing demand for Amazon FBA Seller Tools. After reviewing available Amazon FBA Seller Tools, he concluded that none were suitable for beginners.
For him, it was an opportunity to do it better.
In partnership with a friend, Anton developed the first Egrow tool, designed for simple Amazon product research in 2016.
Since then, Egrow has grown into a comprehensive package of seven Amazon FBA Seller tools and one of the most flexible Amazon Seller software suites available today.
One of the standout features of Egrow’s development is that it mirrors the entrepreneurial spirit of the Amazon FBA Seller.
Three young men set out to disrupt the Amazon product research market with a tool no one saw coming.
Debunking Amazon Marketplace Myths
During our chat, Anton and I addressed a range of Amazon Seller concerns. The most common was the claim that the Amazon Marketplace is overcrowded.
I want to address this misconception because it’s stopping a lot of people from starting their own Private Label Businesses.
The concern is simple. Many worry that there are too many sellers on Amazon, and this is making it impossible to make money on the platform.
This isn’t true. The Amazon Marketplace isn’t overcrowded, it’s just become increasingly competitive. You can still make money on the platform. It’s just not as simple as it used to be.
Five to six years ago, the success of your Private Label Business didn’t rely on a good product. That’s because competition was limited, and it was much easier to find a niche product to manufacture and import from China at a good price.
Today, although the market is bustling, with the right research you can still find a profitable product. Arguably, the market has matured into a normal business environment, with expected entry barriers.
The requirements for establishing and maintaining a successful Private Label Business now demand that you find the best products.
That means employing some creative thinking, working hard, and ultimately, delivering better products to customers. It’s no different from a normal business, like opening up a restaurant or even a hair salon, except you can do it from your kitchen table.
The figures speak for themselves. Last year annual third party Amazon Marketplace sales hit a record $160 billion. Most of that money was made by small and medium Private Label Businesses.
This is why it’s so important that you don’t talk yourself out of starting.
Why Egrow Is Perfect Product Research Partner
Now is the perfect time to start your Amazon FBA Business.
But where should you start?
The first step to selling a product on Amazon, is finding a product.
To find an Amazon Best Seller, you need to get your product research right. It’s a difficult first step, and a lot of sellers make the mistake of wasting money on the research process.
Right now, the cheapest, feature-rich monthly subscription for Jungle Scout is $49. For Helium 10 it’s $97.
If you’re just starting out your Private Label Business, that’s a big investment. The packages are great, however, I’m sure you’ll agree with me that the prices are just way too high. Finding the right product can take months, so these prices aren’t a realistic option.
More, why spend hard earned cash when you can find your perfect product for free with Egrow?
While there are free versions of Jungle Scout and Helium 10, they are not feature rich. Both software trials limit you to keyword searches. This minimises your chances of discovering an Amazon Best Seller.
The free version of Egrow gives you access to listings on 50% of all the products on their Amazon Marketplace database. Egrow also allows you to conduct both Database Research and Keyword Research. This is why as a product, Egrow is superior to Jungle Scout and Helium 10.
Database Research With Egrow
The difference between Database Research and Keyword Research is simple.
- Database Research is the process of looking through the listings of a wide range of products in multiple categories. It’s looking at the big picture of available products.
- Keyword Research is the process of reviewing the listings of products limited to the keywords you can imagine. This is looking at a cross-section.
To find your first perfect Amazon FBA Product, I always recommend that you start with Database Research techniques.
That’s because Keyword Research limits you to finding the products that you can imagine.
If you don’t use Database Research techniques, you will miss low competition, high demand products listed on Amazon Marketplace.
Limiting your product discovery to Keyword Research is like inviting your competition to discover the same products as you. That’s because if you can imagine a product, your competitors probably can too.
In contrast, using the Database Research tool effectively empowers you to find niche product categories, and discover products that you never realized were possible.
While the free version of Egrow limits you to 50% of their Amazon market database, I’ve found that it’s more than enough to conduct effective Database Research and find an excellent first product.
Don’t forget, it’s important that you research your first product thoroughly.
In my experience, well researched products often deliver much steadier income streams than poorly researched ones. In some cases products that I’ve research well have really stood the test of time, remaining listed for over three years. More suprisingly, during this time they were never overtaken.
Recognizing A Good Product With Egrow
What is a good product? Anton and I discussed this at length.
Now, some Amazon Gurus will tell you that a product has to match seven criteria to be successful:
- It must be lightweight
- It should fit in a shoebox
- There shouldn’t be any moving parts
- The product can’t be fragile
- It needs to be easy to manufacture
- The product should sell for $10 to $20
- Each unit should deliver a $10 profit
While these product criteria work for some, in my experience they’re not perfect. Instead, I take a slightly different approach. You can read more about how I conduct my research on the guest blog that I wrote for Egrow here.
Ultimately, we all have our own preferences. That means there isn’t a secret set of product criteria that will work for everyone.
Instead, everyone’s perfect product criteria are different.
For one person 500 sales a month might be good, for another it might be 50,000. Some sellers are comfortable with large, heavy products, others aren’t.
To realise the potential of an Amazon FBA Seller Tool like Egrow, you need to understand what sort of product you are happy with. This means developing your own criteria.
Take your time to research and review the Amazon Marketplace to discover exactly what your product criteria are. Try not to be too prescriptive. In my experience, what makes a good product can be really surprising.
Building Product Confidence With Egrow
Finding the perfect Amazon Product isn’t limited to discovery. After you’ve found a product, you need to be confident that it will perform consistently.
Egrow’s Chrome Extension and the Egrow Live Amazon Scanner will help you keep tabs on your product or niche in real time. This enables you to make sure that a product produces consistent sales over a set period of time.
Before committing to a product, it’s recommended that review your product’s performance for two to three weeks. It’ll give you the confidence you need to start sourcing it.
Egrow’s Product Post Product Launch Tools
Once listed on Amazon, to keep your product profitable you need to keep your listings up to date. Otherwise, your product will fall in the rankings.
After you’ve listed your product on Amazon, keep your listing’s keywords competitive using Egrow’s Amazon Keyword Rank Checker.
The tool allows you to maintain an overview of Cost Per Click (CPC). This is an estimate of the average Amazon PPC for each keyword. The metric allows you to assess competition for each keyword, and importantly revise your listing to ensure that it performs well over a long period of time.
